Everybody has goals to achieve as a part of enriching oneself, but not everyone achieves them. This is because setting a goal needs real commitment, planning and reflection. It is essential to set your goals in a way that you can accomplish them without inordinate stress and strain.

The things you still need to finish should have milestones so that as you go along you can see progress. The process of setting the goals is not hard to do; it is, however, harder to implement and maintain without proper guidance. Self enrichment methods go a long way towards providing a blueprint for goal-setting success. Once you have the goals you want to accomplish set up, you can start working towards their completion.

Setting goals consists of two things that you can learn by reading self enrichment and goal setting texts. The first one is to set a small, attainable goal, while the other one is setting longer timed goals which will be an overall picture of the total project. Whatever it is that you want to accomplish right now would be considered a short term goal. If the entire project takes one year to complete with a lot of little goal steps in between, that is the long term goal. The best goals are a perfect combination of small, but manageable goals and big ones that encompass the entire project. In this way, as you learn and progress, the smaller goals will help you stay motivated

Motivation is the key to continuing on to the completion of a project. There are a number of self enrichment books on getting and keeping motivation levels high. Many will tell you that setting smaller and shorter term goals which you can achieve with ease will have a positive effect on your outlook and motivation, and by association it will also raise your esteem and thus, enthusiasm. Finding the time to achieve the things you want to happen in your life, is one of the easiest ways to maintain high levels of motivation and a desire to learn.

For long term goals, you might reflect on how you will see yourself one to five years from now? In order to answer this question, you will immediately think of goals to pursue, right? These goals involve self enrichment, motivation builders, goal setting and establishment of long term goals. Setting goals that far out them gives you no limitations. With smaller, easier to achieve milestones, building of knowledge and continued striving towards self enrichment will go a long way towards making your goal setting both positive and fun.
