Becoming Healthier And Happier

Wellness and nutrition are two different things. We know what nutrition is; it’s our way of nurturing our body in order to keep the body functioning the healthy way. And we make that happen by taking all the necessary food, vitamins and minerals so that our body may continue to function at the optimum level. And what about wellness, how can we make ourselves well?

Wellness is a feeling of good physical and mental health, where we are open to self enrichment and are willing to learn the general and specific ways on how to make self improvement happen. In general, you can be well if you happen to adopt proper diet, exercise and good eating habits. If we go to the specifics then we will see that to be well means re-examining what we eat. What we eat is what we are, so if we want to be healthy and we need to eat healthy. To eat healthy means taking just the right amount of calorie that we need and taking the recommended dose of vitamins and minerals. This also means taking the effort to consume foods of nutritional value. This is a form of self-enrichment for the body.

Next thing to make ourselves well is to focus on our exercise program. Self-enrichment means taking exercises as this will lead to wellness. Exercise can come in many forms; this can be done thru the use of free weights or simply by establishing a personal routine which you can do every day. Exercises can jeep the body healthy and sharp. These activities can also improve the health of our heart and can burn our extra calories.

To be well means forgetting about the everyday stresses that makes us ill. There are a lot of ways on how we can conquer our day-to-day stress. Examples of activities that you can do to tackle stress is to get some rest, have some therapy, get a massage or simply take a hot bath after a rough day. Taking some time to relax can affect our wellness and can help us in our self-enrichment.

Also it should be remembered that our personal habits can either help us in our self-enrichment and in progress or this can keep us away from the wellness that we want. Smoking, drinking and lack of sleep can stop us from achieving the wellness that we want. Enforce discipline so that it will stop and in no time, wellness will be yours and you will be ready to take on the challenge of everyday life.
