When body processes, the mental and the physical aspects are working at peak levels, then a person experience wellness. This is an ideal state but how do one get into this state? Getting into wellness is not just going into the gym and taking a walk.

There are many reasons why you should make yourself well. This allows us to live better and that’s exactly the reason why people aspire to be well. In general to be well means taking diet and exercise seriously. But there is more to wellness than these two. Wellness is dependent too on the body’s immune system; with better immune system then the higher the probability that all is well. And with a reliable immune system then the person can avoid health issues like muscular degeneration, Alzheimer’s, stroke and heart attack. And with a healthy immune system, then the lifespan of the person can be extended.

Good health and a reliable immune system will not only extend the lifespan of the person. More importantly this can allow for the person to enjoy the work that he does every day. Work will never be a big load since a healthier body can allow him to perform the job and that is the direct benefit of good health and better immune system on the person.

As mentioned wellness is not all about the physical capacities of man to do work as this will also refer to his mental capacity. We can continue on learning, teaching and experiencing things when we are mentally well.

Our sharpness of the mind is the direct result of the action of our mind to learn, teach and experience. And when the mind gets into action as part of self-enrichment then its benefits will lasts longer than the benefits of physical wellness. There is also that physical benefit that can happen as a direct result of self-enrichment and wellness.

It is priceless to have peace of mind, knowing that your health is in top shape and you are always ready to deal with any situation. And that does can be done thru self-enrichment and by adding 20 minutes worth of exercise.

It worked for me since I lost 74 lbs after one year by simply walking. Walking was suggested by my doctor when dieting did not work. The important thing is to have self-enrichment, and that is by using resources wisely and by educating our self in order to gain wellness.

“Stress reliever” is the word used to refer to stress management substances such as alcohol, drugs and medications. Often, people resort to stress relievers in the face of problems and without realization actually increases their problems. It is one thing to have a few drinks from time to time to relax or otherwise stimulate tired nerves, but quite another when somebody drinks every time stress come knocking. These could have disastrous effects.

Self enrichment is the best recourse under these circumstances. The use of the so called stress relievers opens up the clear and present danger of addiction. Alcohol and drugs cost money, a lot of money. Drugs are more expensive than alcohol although they expose your mind and body to the same hazard.

Prescription drugs in many cases are accompanied by side effects that endanger the mind and body too. These bad forms of stress relievers are more commonly used in today’s society. Its use is convenient, easy and everybody does it. This may not be that obvious but there are plenty of good stress relievers that is available to help us better deal with stress and succeed in our pursuits.

Self enrichment offer stress management relief that does not include use of harmful substances but just the same enhances your ability to handle stress. Take exercise for example. Physical exercise is tested to reduce stress while strengthening the body and keeping it fit. Stress has been known to cause high/low blood pressure, strokes, heart diseases and others. Exercise coupled with healthy diet prevents health risks and leaves you better able to handle stress. A healthy mind and body produces a healthy person overall.

Another self enrichment stress reliever is relaxing by taking deep breaths. This may be further enhanced by stretching. When you feel stress taking control of your body, try taking deep breaths and stretch out when possible. Do it until you feel the tension leaves your body.

Stretch your arms and legs, bend your torso and reach for the floor with your hands. You can also reach for the ceiling with your hand or point to the floor with your toes. Some people go to the extent of including yoga practices in their self enrichment and stress management. This is entirely up to you. Yoga techniques often include meditation, a common stress management and self-enrichment activity.

Other stress management activities include reading books, listening to soothing music, having a massage or engaging in aroma therapy. Educating our mind through books is a tried and tested stress reliever. It leads us to take charge of our lives and deal with stress in a manner that enriches not only the individual but those around him.

The concept of time has always been held in appreciation by those who understand its value. But not a lot of people have learned and skill of proper time allocations. There have been many books treating the subject of time management that has come out in the market and yet it has not led us to the understanding of proper time management.

While books may help us understand the secret behind time management, nothing beats plain common sense and self-discipline. Self enrichment more reliably helps us achieve our goals. Discipline is about knowing our priorities and acting in accordance with what we know. Self enrichment enhances our discipline which in turn helps us manage our free time more wisely. Below are some tips to guide us to better time management.

1. Make a list of the things the need to be done. The traditional method of properly managing time is making a list of what needs to be for the day to keep you focused on the things to do. It helps us avoid distractions and keeps us on track. You have to realize though that the list will lead you anywhere without discipline. Also, self enrichment skills tell us that a flexible lists works better as it allows you to act accordingly to developments, both expected and unexpected, that may arise.

2. Unlearn bad habits of time management. This is easier said than done. But it is important for one to reflect upon himself and his habits. Self enrichment is all about changing for the better. If you realize that you devote a significant amount of time in front of the television, then change is in order. Probably, you want to set a time for it, as well as time in pursuit of other more productive endeavors.

3. Prioritize things that need to be done. Not all activities you have in mind or even listed are of equal importance. It would be safe to state that doing the laundry is more important than watching a football game. The idea of finishing laundry before going to watch the game certainly has a better ring to it from many standpoints.

4. Learn to say NO. Many people have trouble refusing and so end up with more task than can be managed. When you prioritize, you know the more important tasks ahead and better acquainted with whether you have the capacity to accept more responsibility and be able to complete it.

5. Divide workload. You don’t have to do everything. Particularly when working with a team, people finish faster when they are placed with a task they can specialize.

6. Keep workplace organized. It is hard to look for stuffs when a place is a mess. Keeping your desk clean and orderly helps to improve efficiency and therefore leads to faster work accomplishment.

7. Set goals. Making achievable goals is essential in time management as it keeps people motivated.

All these things are part of the self enrichment that teaches us to take care of ourselves. We need to prioritize our responsibilities in order to take care of our needs. We need time to be spiritual, reflective and quiet. We need time to rest and regroup. If there is one thing that self enrichment can give us is the knowledge when to step back and sit quietly by the stream of life and be one with the universe. Effective time management is a means to that end.

Self Enrichment and the Energy Levels for the Fit

Fitness is interlinked with our mental capacities; with better fitness comes better mental power. But first, a quick look at what fitness is. Fitness is the physical self enrichment ability of the person’s body to work and operate with vigor and alertness, without experiencing fatigue. With proper instruction through self enrichment, a person will be gifted with a lot of energy to perform recreational and leisure activities. And if a person is fit, then he can easily face his work for the day and still has energy left for his family and other concerns. For this reason, it is important that we pursue fitness and make sure that our body is physically fit.

There is this common attitude that dismisses moves to become fit. It’s time to change this outlook and now is the time to at least devote thirty minutes every day for this kind of self-enrichment. There are many ways on how to make yourself fit; and one way is thru walking. Just by spending 20 minutes walking can do wonders to your health.

I am saying this because this worked for me. When I introduced walking into my every day activities, I managed to lose 74 lbs after one year. I started with dieting but this didn’t work for me. But when I started walking after my physician suggested this exercise then this delivered what I want and I gained peace of mind. The differences can be seen in the energy levels that I feel. Every time I finish my walking, my energy levels have increased triple time compared to the energy level that I felt when I started the activity. The peace of mind that I feel is one thing that I truly enjoyed.

In the end I have this realization that exercise and being fit are factors in shaping the self-esteem and the mind of a person. And when a person performs physical activities then the person can experience deeper forms of relaxations. And it follows that when meditation is partnered with self-enrichment, then the energy levels get to increase as well. Self-enrichment means getting yourself to relax and take in the energy, wonders and secrets of the universe.

And when you get to relax the body can feel better, you can easily renew your energy for the next day’s activities. And that is one of the greatest things that can be delivered by self-enrichment coupled with exercise and fitness. So when you want to feel and look fit, better adopt recreational routines as part of your self-enrichment.
